If you want a trip where you actually feel like you’re somewhere completely different, go to Mongolia. We drove for days through these huge open landscapes, stayed in gers and spent time with local families. There were moments where we were basically in the middle of nowhere and that was probably my favorite part. Would 100% do it again

My wife and I spent 22 days driving around Mongolia in summer 2025, from Ulaanbaatar all the way to Lake Khuvsgul. We stayed with nomadic families, slept in gers and even tried milking a yak lol. Some of the roads were definitely an adventure on their own but honestly that was part of it. Everyone was so welcoming and we had an amazing time. We really didn’t want to leave

Mongolia was such a cool experience. We went horseback riding, stayed in traditional gers and got to meet eagle hunters. The guides were great and always had something interesting to tell us. And the food… the khorkhog stones were fosho an experience, definitely try it if you get the chance

Mongolia was honestly way more amazing than I expected. The landscapes are crazy, but what I loved most was staying with a nomadic family and just talking with them over tea. It didn’t feel like we were just passing through as tourists, you know? Todo muy tranquilo and everyone was so kind. I would go back tomorrow

We spent two weeks driving through Mongolia and it was exactly the kind of adventure we were looking for. Some days we barely saw another car, just horses, mountains and grassland everywhere. Our driver knew all these little places we would never have found ourselves. Also the sunsets were insane
